Hid Help

just bought some HID's off of another user.problem is the halogen high beam just keeps flickering light out of the headlamp?any one heard of this problem or know how to fix it?

sounds like you got a pinched wire somewhere. id suggest going back and looking at all wires. are both of them? or just one? if its both, then sounds like its before the wire splits into two. a wiring diagram would be helpful

what kit is it? most pnp kits for the msp need to be rewired not all h-4 harnesses are the same.

its from cqlights. all the wiring was done previously by another owner.well i slept on it and came to realize that when i checked my high beams during the install it was while my car was not running.i checked a couple of sights and it seems as if the hid's will only work properly (no flickering)when the car is running. is this true?

mine work fine with the car off. i dont have a hi/lo though. if it worked fine on another car than id try swapping the ballasts left to right n see if a diff side flickers. or also try swapping the relays. one of my relays flickered alot when a relay went bad.

where did you mount the igniters and ballasts at in ur car.any pix

1st pic is of the left side ballast and ignitor. 2nd pic is of the right side ballast and ignitor and left and right side relays. i removed the coolant tank just for a better view.

i just realized that i may not be able to do the driver side like yours due to my injen cai running down that hole which makes it harder to stick it in there.maybe i'll just duck tape it to my coolant tank lol

i have an injen cai you can still do it. its just not on right now cuz im back to stock cuz i blew my motor n im gettin it warrantied. just need to loosen the 2nd half of the inje from the maf to drill it.

whered u get the relays from?they didnt come with the setup....does ur bright light signal stay on inside your car even with your HID normal beams on?i think i might have to raise my lights up a bit to see farther down the road and make it seem brighter. I love the whiteness of the light so much better than the halogen yellow

no if i try and turn on my brights the hid's go out actually. and the relays came with my kit. i looked on the website and i guess ur kit doesnt use relays thats kinda weird. those are so cheap wish ida seen them when i was buyin hid's. u should come the the rt1 meet i really wanna see those.

i would like to but i work overnights sunday through thursday for the next couple of weeks then i have school starting back up(night classes),one day i'll skip though to come chill with you guys.
