Hi there! I'm new! :)

Hi to you all!!!!

I'm a new member of this exciting forum. Let me give you some info about myself: I own a mazdaspeed 3 for about almost 2 years now and I totally looooove it! :D what makes me a bit different about the rest of you guys is that I'm from Spain!

Why are you registering into this forum knowing that there are lots of spanish mazdaspeed 3 forums (called Mazda 3 MPS in Europe)?well, I would really like to be the one that links in some way both forums (our forum is http://www.mazdatres.com/userinfo-14077.html I hope it's ok to post it here. If not, sorry!just let me know and I'll edit it(dunno)), because I really believe that we could learn many things from each other!(nana). Anyway, this forum is huuuge in comparison! there are tons of members and plenty of really useful info, so I hope you don't mind if I step by regularly and give my spanish colleagues the oportunity of growing thanks to you all.

On the other hand there's also my personal interests. I own a MS3, but it's pretty difficult to find parts here in europe. I'm usually forced to import pieces from all over the world. With this being said, it's easy to understand that I would love to really know what those parts could do to my baby with trustful information from someone who really did try them thoroughly (you know...no commercial interests behind ;) )

In my case, I could consider myself an illumination veteran (more than 10 years shattering shadows into pieces LoL), and I think I could give you some pretty neet how-to's (breakn), what do you say?

Ok, I've bored you enough, so let me just say that -if you let me- I'll be really pleased to cut distances between mazda owners and just try to extract the most benefits from such union.

I almost forgot!!! Here's a pic of my baby :D

welcome! like the powder coated rims and blacked out bottom lip!

youll find that there is tonnes of info on this forum, and pretty much everyone is very helpful. also there is quite a few people who are very knowledgeable about these engines and how turbo cars work in general. so dont hesitate to ask any questions.

so once again welcome, and enjoy :)

I just joined you guys and already feel like home!!!:) thank you very much for your kind opinions!all the black parts you see is actually vinyl! I applied it myself :P easy, cheap, and clean!

Well, as you can see there's absolutely no difference between the american MS3 and the european MPS, except for the license plate, of course.

I have a few mods: fujita F5 intake and turbosmart dual vent BOV (which I love, BTW :) ). I also added some LED's inside, located at the interior and exterior door handles, door panels, and some other places.

I'm really willing to install new rims (19" tenzo R dc 5), a complete dual exhaust system (from the german seller ATH) and probably a interceptor gauge. So, how about starting to ask you some questions? I would like to mount 235/35/19 wheels (don't quite know the exact technical characteristics in terms of fitting). Do you think I'll have fitting problems? I have the original suspension and springs...but I would really love to lower my ride...(the problem is that spanish routes are absolutely LAME, with bumps greater than the everest capable of desintegrating your front bumper in a no time!) would that add some extra fitting problems??

Thank you! "gracias" ;)

I would stick with 18's. 19's would be almost too big to fit. If they would fit you wouldn't be able to lower or firm up your car with any sort of suspension mods or you would rub like mad. Stick with 18's or even 17's. I've got 17's for my race rims and they look great.

Also good choice with the Tenzo DC-5's. I've got a set of those as well and I get looks all the time with them on.

LOL! I was the one supposed to practice some english here! :D but if you want to practice some spanish, I'll be glad to help!. Regarding the rims issue, I wanted to fit 19's because I heard it's just a perfect size to fit a 235 tire. I don't think I could fit that tire onto the original wheel!but I certainly don't want no rubbing problems! so I'll see what I can find in 18". Do you have any photos of those sick DC-5?? I've never seen a M3 with those babies! :)

Hola!!!

Well...it's almost 4:30 am here in Spain...so I think I should get some rest...or my MS3 will probably end up in some strangely pronounced river after falling asleep at the wheel LoL! See you tomorrow guys! :)

Welcome to the boards! I visited Spain many moons ago and it was a beautiful country. I hope I can return some day and see all the things I missed the first time. But I have sadly forgotten 98% of my Spanish.

Looks like you need a lesson on tire sizes

Here is the stock tire size and I will break it down for you

215/45/18

215mm is the section width but this varies greatly from size to size and brand to brand.

45 is the sidewall height. 45% of 215 is 96.75mm. So that is your sidewall height.

18 inches is the rim size.

You can fit a 235/40/18 onto the original wheel but not a 235/40/19

Pics of my DC-5's. These are version 1's but the others look similar

I think he wanted to do a 235/35/19, which would fit fine. I really like the look of 19" rims on our car... lemme find that pic.

Here's some 225,35,19's, which are actually a little smaller.
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123751788&page=2

235x35s would fit even closer to stock overall size... now you just have to get the right offset.

Yup, precisely!H3br3w_Ham3r what I ment was to increase the size of the rims from 18 " to 19" just to be able to fit a 235/35 tire, because I don't believe I can fit a 235/whatever onto a 18" wheel...or can I?

Tyrdstorm...now THAT'S a sexy looking car! I just LOOOOOVE big shiny wheels and fat tiny tires (cabpatch)...I suppose it's just the european way to do things (by the way, I saw a Hummer here in my own city -barcelona- with rims bigger than metropolitan buses!!! 28"!!!here in Spain this is absolutely ridiculous!...the average rim size is 15" (rofl2)(rofl2))

Thank you all for you warm welcome (wiggle)

bigdaddy buen espaol!!! sigue practicando! :D (keep up the good work)

BillTheCat remember to give me a call next time you visit Spain and the spanish mazda team will be there to guide you through whatever city you want to visit ;) the same goes to the rest of you guys! you're all invited!

Ok, time to get down to business!!!

I already posted in my forum your link and talked about how cool this forum is, so you'll probably have new visitors in a no time (hi) (I just had to let go something about a 433 BHP MS3 and everyone just shocked and drewled all over the floor (lol2) Of course, if you want me to translate a message to them or anything similar, just let me know ok?

Now let's talk about mods! :D I want to post some of the mods I made the last few years (mostly non mazda) and of course if you are interested in some of them, just let me know (specially if it is a HOW TO in spanish, so as to translate it for you)

Just check out this photos (Btw, there are some car brands that you didn't probably knew they exist, very common here in Spain...something like buick or lincoln are really unknown brands in europe)

First of all, my exterior illuminated door handles

A few of us are anxious to hear how you did the front grill mod. (attn) Is that just a vinyl application or something else?
