Welcome! I love looking at pictures of Proteges from other countries because there are so many little differences!

I see Australia gets the JDM rear bumper. It's so tiny compared to the US bumper. I wonder how that affects rear end collisions.

I can tell you first hand what it's like in rear end collisions. The bumper is plastic, and does hardly anything in a collision. I've been hit once and the bumper cracked. It was a sad sad day.

Wait so there isn't like the big foam thing underneath it and then a big steel bar support?

Oh there's the big steel bar (beaver panel if I recall correctly) and that too was bent in the collision. As for the foam, I don't remember seeing any foam underneath.

Wait seriously? I was always taught that like the eastern coast had people and then west of that was just desert and stuff where everyone drove Subaru Outbacks and hunted kangaroos.

Of course I kid, but only slightly. I need to do some reading.

I'm from Oz too but I'm looking at buying a new 06' Mazda 3 SP23 pack with Leather and Bose Pack. Now, currently they don't come in the Phantom Blue or Purple, however, I was wondering if anyone had or has seen a 3 in these two colours if they can post their pics, as I'm looking at putting in a "special" order for one of these colours.

I have seen the 6s in the Phantom Blue, which looks awesome, but wouldn't mind seeing the Phantom Purple somewhere.
