Hola.

I'm Flor. I just recently picked up a Mazda 3. My now ex-husband loved his RX7 too much, but it got me into mazdas. I love this little thing though.

I'll probably need some help here and there though. I'm not very mechanical at all.

First off, what are the best springs and the best place to get them?

What exhaust sounds best. I like the mazdaspeed, but it seems like everyone that has a Mazdaspeed car has one.

Is this even the right place to ask these questions? ja ja ja ja

Get a loud exhaust then. Everyone has loud bass. I mean i like it, but it won't set you apart like an exhaust. I can't wait to get one myself.

If you're playing reggaeton or cumbia it would catch my attention though.

I presume you want some springs to lower the car, right? If so, I'm also interested in this

From what I have heard/searched so far it seams that there are 2 types of springs: progressive (better for daily usage as the are not that stiff in normal driving condition, but only when pushed) and liner (better handling but more stiff in normal usage).
You can choose between these 2 types (there are lots of brads) based on how much do you want to lower your car (most of them offer the same drop - about 30mm=1.7 inch) and cost of course
One thing that I think it's good to do (based on reviews) is to replace the oil struts (if that is what you have on the car right now) with gas ones, as the sporty springs are faster in response than the normal ones and oil struts will be slower, so they will wear more.
I just changed my struts with KYB excel-G and planning to change the springs in about 3 months (when I install the summer setup). I've almost decided on Apex springs as I saw a lot of good reviews on them and seams that they work very good with KYB struts....

bigger number means stiffer feel. most ppl say that above 250 the springs are more track oriented, so they're practically too stiff for DD
