So Im getting ready for this weekend turbo install. And i would like to hear some suggestions as far as what to do before after during the install to stay out of trouble. Today Im going to go out shopping for supply's I have the following list
of parts that I will need (suggestions are welcome)

supply's: Lock tight Teflon compound, shrink tubing, beer im thinking Heineken Dark (read) I have synthetic oil, filter, oil pan gasket, tell you the truth no meter how hard i try i'll miss something.
Help me out guys!
Another thing I am worried about taking the Oil pressure sensor in the back of the engine any suggestions for that will be welcome too.

Im installing Hi-Boost turbo kit with E6X

Thanks!

for the oil pressure sensor on the back i just found a socket that fit it and then tapped it on there. It bent the prong down but all you need is some pliers to straighten it back out. Take it off that way and you should be fine. Your going to need coolant, and a exhaust mani gasket ill try to think of more things during the day. Id keep some extra bolts around too incase you snap any on the exhaust mani.

Patience and a friend to help....I can't wait to go turbo. I would also just keep looking over threads on the forum where others have gone turbo'd.

Will need some bits

So I went ahead and sea foamed my engine today to get it ready for the install. I also took a good look at the parts and found out that i might need some stainless steel studs and gaskets for the downpipe. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think.

Over all im not intimidated by this install at all but getting these extra parts will make me much more confident in the process. (cabpatch)

Anyone with some good knowledge of Hi Boost setups is appreciated.
Thank you!

Ah one other thing Pictures let me know what you think angles ..(uhm)

Just hit a snag

I took almost everything off at this point. Have 3 problems at this point 1 EGR pipe tread is refusing to come out, 2 Oil T fitting has uneven thread, 3 weiring harness has some wires that i cant identify, no Im not in panic just yet(boom01)

What do you mean by the oil T fitting having uneven thread? Stripped? Or do you mean that the thread gets wider the further you thread it in (tapered)? It's supposed to be tapered. :)

EGR pipe - just soak it with PB Blaster, or possibly try taking it off on the intake manifold side.

Wiring - can't help you with that one...

well i installed the hiboost manifold, turbo, s pipe and j pipe in my car and custom everything else.

the gasket to the j pipe and s pipe doesnt exist because you do not need one. the metal is flushed so it would not leak. that also includes the manifold to turbo and turbo to s pipe. ( put i picked up wrx gaskets for the turbo to manifold and turbo and s pipe just incase.)

the set up is tight so be patient with it.

So here where I am now

Everything is on and connected but I have some questions now.
First question is how do I hook this up to the Waste gate, Im guessing the blow of valve, and the outlet from turbo. To the boost controller.
Im getting OBDII code (P1562)
the engine is running but the battery light stays ON and everything is flickering (all the lights)
what is going on?(boom07)

Its been a long night now I need some Z's

Oh I forgot The bloody Knob what the hell do i do with it how much is minimum boost how much is maximum?
I will retire now I cant make sense of things right now too tired.

Ok to start you wiring is most likely ****** re chack everything. As far as the boost solenoid is a 3 way solenoid right? If so then im pretty sure one of the ports is going to be left open. Your going to have a seperate plastic tee for your bov

looks liek you have the solenoid hooked up wrong. if its like any other boost solenoid your going to have one port open. Your bov should have its own independent vacume line run off of the intake mani

Update

(boom07)Had a chance to fiddle with the car today No luck(smash)
I noticed that a chunk of a alternator belt came off (78000miles) so i needed to get that fixed before i could go on and that took up most of the time i had today mosquitoes are unbearable today.
I also fixed the vacuum by separating the BOV valve house from boost controller and taping in to the manifold. Checked the 12V power to E6X and its constant never turns off don't know if its good because Im thinking maybe it needs to clear after car turns off and in this case it dose not happen. When i start the car it still has that idle where it goes up and down and all the lights do the same i checked voltage when operating it fluctuating (maybe the alternator went). And the last issue that i have is stuck accelerator (thats what i call it) well not exactly. When I rev the engine a little bit something like 3200RPM it tends to rev up and stay at that RPM if i rev to 2700 it will stay there if revved to 3200 ill get stuck there. Most of the time after turning the car off the revs will drop but on rare occasion when I restart the engine the revs go right back to to where they were. And it has something to do with the OBD code P1562 that is coming up.
So day four of TURBO drama!
But I did have a chance to go slow around the block being very careful. I cant describe the feeling its whole another beast under the hood, you can feel the torque that it gained at the low RPM. If only I could figure out what it wants.(uhm)

By the way you guys are great! Im all over your suggestions! Tank You!

cant waight to go home and get the car sorted out.

Just sitting here at work thinking about the car (so close yet so far)
Im going home taking lots of pictures lots of details hopefully I will sort this out.
Concentrating on electrical today, I will go over every wire and maybe try another way of powering E6X. There is another thing its far fetched but if alternator could be cosing this I will take it off and have it tested at autozone.
Maybe ill try to get hold of some one at HiBoost to help me sort this out?
Updates tonight!

some screen shots of the car running

So I hooked up my laptop to the E6X and took two screen shots one when I just started and one after the car warmed up.
I don't know if you can make anything of the data being displayed but maybe some one will spot something. Until then Im back to work!
Updates tonight!
