well, im not going to fix anything about the car, after all i must be doing something right to have gotten this. i also forgot i was posting with the best p5ers out there, so i am sorry if mine doesnt live up to your guys/gals expectations, but anyways, i figure i might as well go find a different forum to post in since every time i post i get some kind of negative feedback. and i also wanted to say that the mp5 is not fast nor will i ever have the money to make it fast. to all this stuff if for show not for performance. performance i could care less about, its a friggin wagon. so anyways, i just thought i would let all you know.

yup swapping out that strut brace is a downgrade in performance.
The oem brace is much better than that "ractive" type brace

Nothing to do with being the best modded P5s. But taking off badges to have holes isn't a good move, swappiing a good tower bar for a crappy one is no good either. The exhuast is cosmetic and easy to change so the only reason not to is lazyness. If you are just going for the chrome look get the stock bar acid dipped and refinished.
ugh..ya gotta love it. He asks for people's opinions and gets pissy when he doesn't hear that not everyone likes what he has done.
BTW, your comparison between performance and a wagon is a moot point. There are many wagons out there that are and and can go fast.

You guys are nuts saying that the OEM bar is better than the Ractive !! IMO.........I got a Ractive and I could tell the difference right away changing lanes. And I am not kidding, a lot of of p5 member is our pro club is very satisfy with the bar. It grabs all 4 or 5 (forgot how many, but the whole circle) screws instead of the OEM which only grabs the 2 screws.....
If I am wrong, I just want to good answer. How can the OEM which only grab the inner 2 screws be better than bar that grabs the whole thing ? Lets not talk about any brand names or whatever. Just want to compare with 2 screws and the whole thing. And this is a friendly question.

The ractive bar basically has two pivot points, overall defeating its purpose. The stock bar makes a solid connectionon at both ends making it overall more rigid (read stiff). Connecting to 2 bolts vs 4 bolts per side is really not going to make any difference in this application. The space between the left and right of the strut tower is neither going flex nor strech.
IMO, I don't see how a strut bar is going to make a difference when changing lanes, unless you'r really jerking the wheel.

ok i realize i was a dick about that. it was just the way you all approached it. if i knew everyone was going to be a dick when they posted i wouldnt have done it. i just think you could go about telling someone you dont like there car in a little nicer way, but no big deal. anyways sorry for being a dick.

1. the strut bar is not a ractive, it might as well be though. it is an obx from a 626, it didnt fit right so i had custom brackets made. i had them made so it would be stronger than the oem, if not what is the purpose?
2. the muffler has been fixed since then, and what did i tell you, the muffler is so big it was pulling itself down, i had another hanger added to it.
3. the car is debadged because it is going to be painted shortly, so i dont care what it looks like now, and the plastic gromets are so it wont rust or anything.
so now if you have any more questions please post again and i will try not to be a dick about it anymore. again i am sorry.
