Ok guys, ive searched all i can and, nothing.... I have a noise, and no its not the sway links, or the hatch, or anything else i can find online in any forum. Sounds like a metal on metal clink or a clank. If you are local to the orlando area and would like to hear it for yourself, i would be much abliged to give you a ride in the car to help identify the noise. I lowered the car on sportlines and installed koni yellows. ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks.

what other modifications do you have? could be exhaust banging or some bent heat shielding? i would deffinatly recheck your sway bar lowering on sportlines is deffinatly something that could cause some issues.

yeah my exhaust will hit (obx-r) but only on really heavy bumps. Im talking light bumps, like the paint lines on the road when they are slightly raised. if that makes any sense. i need to get a clear lift here at work, when i do, my boss said i could use it for a few hours. i'll let you know what i find. thank you for the reply.

what about your wheels and tires? are they stock? whats the offset you are running? i would think you would notice if you were rubbing but i am just throwing it out there.

It's always a good idea to check out possible rattle/clank noise sources in inverse order of repair cost/hassle factor. The last time I had a "rattle in the trunk" (R.I.P Zippy) -- which I would've described as you did -- it turned out that the thumbscrew that holds the emergency jack in place was loose, but I'd been worried that it was something to do with the rear suspension.

I haven't heard the noise, obviously. I'm just going by your description.

But I'm just sayin' it pays to check the bleedin' obvious things first, if you haven't already. If you have, then never mind. :)

yeah, those little things were the first ones checked. I have no clue what this could be. My wheels are stock, but im running 45 series tires.

okay, once i had the option to put it on a lift i found a loose exhaust bolt. It wasnt really loose, but i got about 1 full turn on it, clanking GONE!!!! Thank God, and all of the people who helped.
