HELP! Whats the cycles for the CEL?

ok so i uninstalled my accessport for state inspection and i forgot to unhook it before it clear all my active dtc's and guess what....i failed because emissions werent ready for the test...DOH! so please tell me what the cycle is for the engine to be ready for testing. is it so many key starts or miles or what? i dont mnow with this car yet and if its miles im going on a road trip until i can go get it done again. Thanks.

There are a bunch of different things the ecu looks at. The way you know it is ready is turn the key to on without starting the car. If the cel does not blink after 30 secs you are good to go.

sweet. thanks for the info. im trying to beat every cycle i know from each car i used to own to get that damn thing to run its cycle and be ready for emissions within 2 days. driving around to get some miles, key cycles, blah blah blah. but ill look for that and when the cel stays on ill take it down asap. thanks dread. can always count on you for ecu help.

I know one of them is to drive in 5th gear for 5 minutes at a certain mph, another is idle for 5 minutes.
