help re-installed stock intake!

so, after almost 3 years, i'm returning my car to bone stock to trade in on another vehicle. i removed the cobb intake but am having trouble with two items. i'm a bit foggy on these two pieces-

how does this band attach to the shown area? it seems very loose when looped around both points. i can't decide if the big end goes around the top, or the bottom, or what. nothing seems tight enough to be right -

and, how does this white clip attach now that i've slid the rubber bumper piece up under the shroud?

any help is GREATLY appreciated! if you have a stock intake ms3 that would be wild, but i doubt there are many left, especially on this forum.

I can't see your pics since I'm at work, but this may help. I just went back to stock for the sake of getting warranty work done, so I know your pain.

The white clip is a stop. It clips around a black bar to keep something from sliding backwards (a rubber piece, I think?)

The rubber "8" got me too, but it works like this. One ring goes over BOTH pieces. The other is actually what you slip your finger through to pull it off. So slip it over the top and bottom pieces and it will be tight. I don't remember if you use the larger or smaller hole though. Just see which one fits snug without stretching it badly.

that's it! ok i remember now. yeah, there is an open rubber loop left to pull on.

the white one is still a mystery. i've tried every possible combination and can't seem to figure it out
