I doubt this is it, but when I put the yellow top in my old Honda, like a dumbass I didnt realize that the positive and negative posts were backwards from the original batteries. Just a thought.bdg667 said:I purchased a red top battery and when I went to install it the ignition fuse blew out. I've replaced the fuse and it happened again. Do I have a short somewhere? Any answers? Thanks.
Optima's have top and side mounts so they fit in any car1sty said:I don't remeber but I do not recall an optima being a drop in procedure. Typicly you need new battery terminals and new connections.
Did you?
That would be true! Just never had that problem yet and put in lots of them in different cars, but yes I quess that could be a problem.1sty said:Not if the factory terminals don't reach either set.
If the yellow and the reds are the same it should not be a problem. My yellow was a drop in.1sty said:I just can't remeber if I had that problem in my MP3 or not.
Its about 2 yrs old so I'm guessing classic. The new ones are bigger correct? Or one of the styles is bigger and the normal one is smaller.1sty said:Do you have the classic size or one of the new ones?
When I got mine there was just yellow, red or blue. All the same size. I guess they made it more difficult now.1sty said:They just make them in all different sizes
