Help picking my next upgrades

I was wondering what you all thought should be my next upgrade purchase. I have been looking through some of the old posts, and have come to some conclusions. I have about 450.00 to spend. I have a MBC and boost guage right now. I have the NGK copper plugs installed already too. This is what I have in mind.

Injen CAI
Eibach Sportline Springs

Is the Injen worth it for the performance, or just the sound it makes. I want people to know I have a turbo, but also dont want to shell out 270.00 bucks just for a sound. Would a downpipe be a better idea?? Or does anyone else have anything in mind. I know some people that can make me some test pipes to eliminate the cats, so i was thinking I should get the intake. I just wanted to see what everyone thought before I shelled out the cash.. Thanks!!

Downpipe. Definitely.

i second that notion. DP will give you the most gains, and plus I'm sure at some point you might want some hard pipes or an FMIC. In wich case you will most likely get an air element upgrade with the package, so get the DP, then maybe some suspension upgrades? Kartboy hangers/bushings. Maybe the springs? Catless 2.5" is only 299.99 which leaves ya with 150 to spend :)

get a downpipe that is most likely my next mod, I already have the intake, its mostly just for the sound. Also other members have said you will actually lose hp with the injen. Try to find a used one for like 150-200 or so, i've seen a couple in the FS section.

honestly if i were you I would stick with an SRI. Even though there has been much debate about it in this forum if you ask anyone with a lot of knowledge on turbo applications they will tell you the same thing. The company that is custom fabbing my hard pipes is including the intake pipe and HKS filter with the package. Total cost for the pipes without the type-s = 400.

What do you all think is the best overall downpipe for the money. Something cheap, but wont break. I have been seeing a lot of members talking about there's breaking.

Apex definitely. iON is real nice but super expensive and i dont even think they are selling the DP seperately yet. I think hiboost makes one, but im not sure, you would have to call them up. Apex has great customer service and a pretty decent warranty. 299 for a catless is the way to go IMO. You can always stick your stock pipe back on when emissions testing comes around.

i know my next two mods will be:

- HID
- TEIN S tech!

w00t!

oh, sorri.. didn't mean to thread jack. hehhe..

I say go for a Downpipe!! noticable increased performance!

Downpipe makes a noticeable difference even with the stock catback.

Injen makes a swoosh and then a wierd turkey sound; no noticeable peformance changes.

Downpipe it is.

just incase anyone is wondering i didnt get the Turbo hoses pipes. I found a place in KY that custom fabbed some pipes for Kyracefan. I sent them the money plus my type-s and aluminum flange and they are sending me the pipes. I might have them add a nipple so i can keep the stock BPV but i havent decided yet. I might just buy some silicon hose and route the type-s back into the intake....

I'm looking at getting a downpipe too. How big of a difference is there between catless DPs and one's with the Cat? Sound-wise/Performance-wise... I've seen price difference.
