help me please

Hi; my name is billy and i need some help with my 02 protege 5.
i blow my engine and need some help finding a replacement.
i was wondering if you knew much about the car.will a motor from an 03 mazda protege sedan fit in the protege 5.Is there any other motors that will fit that will give me more HP that would not cost me much? a motor that i can upgrade later
with a turbo or such?

you need an fs-de motor. all of the fs-de motors are the same from one protege to the next. that also includes the motor out of the mazdaspeed protege. they are all 2.0L dohc with the exact same internals. so, to answer your question, yes the 03 sedan motor will fit into your pro5. as long as it is the stock motor in that car, it will be the same motor as what you have. don't let anyone try to sell you a mazdaspeed block for more, because it is the same motor as what you have.

if you want to turbo it later, you can always build it now. start with some forged internals and work your way out to the head. it is all about how much that you want to put into it.

Yes a motor from an 03 sedan will fit as long as it is a 2.0 Liter FS-DE motor.
