Help:How to improve the perfomance of my protege?

Im wanting to increase the performance of my car so was wondering if you guys could give me some advice of things to add to help increase the hp, mpg, and handling of my car. So far I got racing beat exhaust, racing beat springs, air intake, and msp strut tower bar. Im thinking of installing a turbo kit either from protegegarage.com or from turbo-kits.com (still trying to find more information from both kits). What other things should I think about getting or exchanging? Or if you know of a previos thread that speaks more about increasing performance could you direct me to it.

Octane booster. Or higher gasoline grade? Ngk plugs? lighter rims?

the only legitemate turbo kits will cost you like 5 grand. For the price of this plus selling the car, you could buy a new car that is a lot faster.
