Hi Guys.. so i live all the way down in South Africa!
I need some help!
Bout to order my Mazda 3 MPS or mazdaspeed 3 as u know itDD
i wanted to get the eibach sport springs and tenzo rims.. but i dunno much bout suspensions what what..
so i have a few questions:
can i just pop on the rims and put the springs in and all is good to go?
i travel with a full car everyday(myself + 4 others in it) so how will the combo(rims + springs) affect my ride.. im expecting it to be stiffer.. but will it be uncomfy and can i clear speedbumps?
will my rims touch my fenders? (with all the ppl in my car)
roads are ok..
dunno what size tyres to run? Driver 311 what size are u running?
and what parts will wear out? will my warranty fall away with aftermarket Springs?
what are the pros and cons of a Cai? and is there one for me to retain warranty?
What bout a nice exhaust pipe which is nice and loud but also retaining warranty?
Do ne of u kno a company that will ship tenzo rims to S.A? cause no one here sells them:(

HELP HELP HELP!!!
Thanks a mil..
el coco.

Wow lots of questions. Stock size rims are your best bet, also use stock size tires. When you lower it and ride with a lot of weight the rear passangers will tend to get a pretty harsh and jarring ride. If you keep the stock sized wheels you have the best bet for not rubbing when lowered or fully loaded. I feel the best intake would be Mazdaspeed to keep the warranty intact. If it is installed by the dealer the warranty is 3yr 36000 miles. Mazdaspeed offers a cat back exhaust which has minimal performance gains but adds volume and tone. This also falls into the same catagory of warranty as the intake. If you use other brand you may loose warranty coverage in the event of a failure. As for getting all the items to south africa I would directly email a vendor here. They may hold your payment to verify that the funds clear but they are well trusted here.

Hmmm

Thanks mann..
Ill be running 18x8 rims.. dunno what standard with is..
and tires.. will 215/45/18's look good on those rims tho>
cause thats the standard size..

no a 215 is too narrow for a 8". 235 would be a better fit but you have to have the perfect offset to not rub when weighed down or lowered.

ok i see but...

Im sure u have seen driver 311's pics.. i have that in mind.
what offset u think hes running?
and what springs he running?
sum1 told me eibach sport springs for mazda 3
and others said eibach pro kit..
but i want that exact same drop.. if it is the eibach sport spsrings for mazda 3.. what drop are we looking at? 40mm and 60mm? bout 1.5 inch and 2.5 inch..?
cause the pro kit is only 30mm al round which s bout 1.2 inches..
will changing the springs affect the warranty
im real lost with all this stuff..
basically driver 311.s car sums it up..

the springs will only affect your warrenty if something goes wrong with your suspension (such as a blown shock) but it wont outright void it. an example would be, you lower your car, and your AC wont blow cold anymore. your still covered under warranty.

Offset

Thanks mann..
i can certainly give up the shocks and stuff for a betta look..
what offset is driver 311 running?
does ne1 kno?

His Ms3 is the best by far..
and does ne1 know when the next Mazda 3 will be launched and mazda speed3.. a month and year would be helpful!!
thanks..

Highest offset I've seen on 18x8 is 48mm, which is what I will probably get for mine. If you do get this size, you're safer getting 225/40 tires.
