hey i just bought a mazda speed from someone, its completely stock
i want a bov so i can get the woossshh noise, and i want a cold air intake, as well as an exhaust, as well i want to be running it at a higher psi, around 9, so what kind of boost controller would be good. what do you guys recommend me to do. i need lots of help as im new to the turbo and the mazdaspeed. thank you

thanks for being smart, as i posted im a noob to this stuff, ill admit it. i need help, i dont think its that hard to get

welcome to the forums.......I would recommend personally check out a couple of sites. www.protegegarage.com / www.*************.com

I would say get a FMIC setup w/bov and hardpipes. A injen CAI and a Vibrant Jpipe back exhaust. Then a Unichip custom tuned to your mods and that would turn your boost up to 10psi. With those mods you will be runnin with a Neon SRT. Oh yeah, check out the intake manifold mod from protegegarage. It gave me 25+whp according to the dyno. PM me if you have any questions. I was once in your spot and know what it feels like to be new.

should help you to get started...

To do a BOV youre going to need hardpipes (different intercooler piping, stock piping is plastic) that have a flanged mounted for a BOV.

CAI best option would be the Injen. With a CAI you will hear sound from the stock Bypass valve.

Parts for the Mazdaspeed protege can be viewed/purchased on:

www.protegegarage.com
www.speedcircuit.net

and as always the search button is amazing!!! I suggest getting familiar with it

Search

I wouldnt recommend running 9psi without the following mods. CAI, Exhaust, hardpipes/intercooler upgrade, and EMS (to run reliably). Anything over 10psi even with these mods may result in detonation (killing the motor). The rods on the FS-DE block are notoriously weak. Again, use the search button. Theres tons of info on this vehicle if you look around.

You have to understand that people post THE SAME questions atleast once or twice a day... topics that have been covered about a million times. Some people are just to the point of irritation over it.

yes exactly

when i see "help" im not expecting this shat.

anyways just go through some oldd threads in the msp forced induction section and you'll learn alot.

Hi, welcome. Don't mind everyone they didn't get their cookies LOL. Yeah a lot of people ask the same questions over and over. That's a lot of mods for a NEWB! Do a little bit of research on each mod before spending the money. There are a lot of options for BOV and set ups and it can get confusing specially this car. Hit up those links and ask them a few questions or PM me, I love to talk about the MSP.

There must be somthing wrong with my car then. I know I'm not hanging with SRT Neons at all. I have the UNICHIP but it doesn't have a custom tune but I have all the other listed mods.

I feel your pain as I was once a noob myself and in many cases still am but we have been trying to help out another guy here on the forum that started out three weeks ago just a little bit further along than you are now. Read through this thread and it may help you out as well. Welcome to the forum by the way.
