well, here's my update after going to my dealer (galpin mazda in sfv). i checked the prices for the mazdaspeed parts, heres what i got quoted at:

MS CAI - 750 (not available)
MS catback exhaust kit - somewhere around 1500 (not available)
MS Coil Over kit w/ rear camber links - about 2k
MS STS - around 250

that's not including the installation/labor charges. my jaw dropped at how much they were asking and i laughed when the guy at parts was giving me the prices. oh well, looks like no perf mods for me until im almost done paying off my car (boom02)

maaan..those prices are nuts. One has to wonder if mazdaspeed considers itself "competitively priced", but I guess since Mazda basically won't honor warranty claims if anything other that dealer-installed MadzaSPeed parts are used, they really don't *need* to be competitive.

lol yea no kidding. luckily my dealer will beat rosenthal's price so that's a plus. i wonder who else is an authorized ms dealer that i can price match to.
