heater fix?

the cabin heater won't warm up past lukewarm and it ain't warm in nj these days. i've done some searches and i can see this is a fairly common problem. can anyone post some pictures and/or a detailed how-to for the fix?

if your heater isn't getting more than just warm at all then you have one of two problems. low coolant or a stuck open thermostat. check both.

hey same problem before theres like a clip behind the ac controls that comes loose i think mine did, u can check it by removin the glove back by just opening it and pressing on the two sides n pull it out, then move the control with like level 1,2,3,4 n watch the switch back there n check if it has a loose hook or clip or somethin mine had that problem dont no if u did too, o yea people at auto zone n stuff said my thermostate was open but it wasnt mines getin pretyt hot now about 115 or so

Ditto, the clip that holds the cable to the heater-core flanges could be off not giving sufficient tension. Alot of times when you mess with the stereo people remove the clip so they can access the center dash console easier and forget to put the clip back in place. Take off the glove box and you can see the cable and clip near the bottom of the heater core and the "flanges".

okay Ive tried these suggestions and they worked but also 1 more control are not working the one that u can put the air to ur feet or windshield. what do i do need help?

problem solved thanks to the forums(*you guys) kinda of easy the only hard part was locating the meltal wires and getting them out the metal clips (what a b****) other than that took me 10 mins tops..lol
