Heat Problem

Well I just bought a 2007 mazda 3 Loving the car except my eat isn't working right. It only has 21000km so still under factory warranty. I took it in yesterday for the first time and they replaced the thermostat and its still acting up. What it's doing is that I have it on full heat and it won't get any hotter than luke warm. Then all of a sudden it will just kick in like 1hr later and will be nice and hot. Then I shut car off and it will happen again.. So they replaced the thermostat... I drive away and I turn the heat on full and its working, thinking its fixed. So I start to play around with it and I changed the vents from floor to face. As soon as I did this it went from being nice and hot to cold air and didn't warm up. I'm scheduled to bring it back in tomorrow morning, anyone have any ideas as to what could be the issue?

i heard someone before mention the 'blender door' it's what lets in a certain amont of outside air....

when you said they replaced the thermostate, is it the one in the engine coolant lines???

It was the thermostat in the coolant line.. They flushed the coolant out and it seems to be workin a bit better.. It hasnt shot any cold air out at me.. But it still doesnt seem all that hot an doesnt seem like its blowing very hard... I mentioned a PCM update to them and they said it doesnt need one..

lol typical. mazda states that when the thermostat is changed check for a pcm update for the ect. if done this numorus times. it takes all of 10 minuets to do if that. the only thing i can really suggest is to try another dealership. give one a call and ask to speak to the service manager, not a service advisor. generally advisors are all idiots, i know both of mine are.

LOL.. I think I will take the travel(30mins) to Newmarket mazda.. Seems everyone says its the best around.. How is the heat level in other peopls Mazda.. I have the heat on full and still after 20-30mins of driving it still isn't at the point that I need to turn it down. With my old car 2001 GrandAm after 20mins of full heat its like a sauna.

my heats not bad in mine, takes about 10 min for it to heat up to a comfortable level and then another 10 and i have to turn it down.
