Heard a Blitz Nur-Spec!!!

(omg) OMG. i heard a blitz nur-spec cat back on a wrx tonight and i almost nutted my pants... i want one now, freak the JIC 505... me want blitz nur-spec. the blitz is like $90 cheaper than the jic too. i went home and downloaded a sound clip after hearing one in a parking lot... muscle cars beware.

Yeah, this guy that works across the street from my house has one of those on his WRX. Too bad it wouldn't sound anything like that on the Protege. Have you heard one of those on a Celica GT-S, man it is nothing nice. Very loud and pretty ricey if you ask me. But the WRX Nurspec sounds awesome. Who knows what it might sound like on a Turbo'd Protege though. I say try to find the muffler by itself amd get some custom piping made. The custom route will be the only way to get one on the protege since they don't make it for us.

so it wouldn't sound like that on the msp? the celica gt-s is not turbo. that turbo changes the exhaust flow a lot from a n/a engine. i'm assuming that the WRX and MSP have similar exhaust flow because of the turbo.

what makes the WRX sound nice is the flat four setup....the closest other car to sound like WRX with exhaust is a 911 turbo

how does the cylinder orientation make the exhaust sound better? and the exhaust travels through the turbo before leaving the car.

If you ever heard sportbikes before this is a little example. A V-Twin sound different from an inline 4 (Ducati vs. Suzuki). They both are 4 strokes but the exhaust notes are totally different. It is the same principal.

so uhh would the nur-spec sound good on my msp? i know its gonna be loud, thats why they include a silencer. but i'm now worried it won't sound like the wrx i heard. i'm considering the 505 again.

I'm thinking that it will not sound like the WRX, mainly because of the WRX's flat four. Another good comparison would be the WRX vs the EVO 8. 2 totally different sounding exhuast notes. But I still say go for it man, you'd be the only one with the Nur-Spec on an MSP. It would make your car sound like it was pissed off. Everytime that guy across the street drives by I get the chills, although I think it is a bit too loud, it does make other drivers say "oh s***, what is that"

yeah, i would like one, but i need someone to mandrel bend me an exhaust system with high flow cats. i don't know of anyone that would mandrel bend for a reasonable price.

you don't need anyone with a bender....you can just buy pre-bent u-bends from like summitt or jegs and just measure and cut....i'm going to build my own stainless steel exhuast once I get my downpipe....i'll probably just end up doing the mid section and retaining the mazdaspeed axle back portion. i'll let you know how it turns out.
