It's amazing when you aren't looking for this info, you'll read 4-5 threads on this subject. Now that I am getting closer to needing this info, I can't find jack diddly. I have searched and all I keep coming up with is for a P5 or every other model except the 3. Or I come up with write-ups with the headunit already out.

I read somewhere that you have to open the glovebox and pull firmly but gently on the carbon-fiber trim. Where I get confused is one thread said pull toward the steering wheel and another thread to pull toward the passenger door.

After that, a couple of screws and pulling of plugs and the headunit is out. Of course, all this is from memory of reading these threads back in August.

Any help finding this info would be greatly appreciated.

you take your fingers and pry from under the right hand side corner out and towards the driver and then when that corner is out just pull the rest of the clips straight back.

I did it by starting in the middle popping the clips, then sliding the hook thats on the passanger side towards the drivers side.

Thanks guys. As soon as my auxmod comes in, I will be pulling things apart. You have been a great help.

The entire strip is pulled towards the back of the car, EXCEPT for the right hand side. The connector on the far right is a hook vs. the tension clips along the rest of the strip, so if you pull straight out on the far right you run the risk of breaking that hook off.

The way I do it is to release the 3 or 4 clips between the LCD and the right hand side of the strip, then with my hand holding the far right I gently flex the strip to disengage the strip. It's worked every time without incident.

Beautimous, just beautimous. I appreciate the help guys, everything worked out without a hitch. Thanks.
