its not double din lust, i just HATE the map pocket. doesnt flow with the rest of the interior or my goal with the interior. and what does the unit you posted do that the jvc doesnt?

i lose hd radio, which is irrelevant as i dont listen to the radio. id rather have the double din honestly. it matches the interior better

id say get a flip out with the msp pocket. the flip out is a nice touch, plus you dont have to have the screen on all the time (like at night), you can just close the screen. also the msp pocket has a very clean look to it, rather than just a hole in the dash (like what i have)

Glad this thread came up; I've been in the same camp:

Been trying to find a simple but capable double DIN with uber-OEM looks; I'm usually a Pioneer freak, but the double DIN offerings they have (it's 2007 and they still have cassette decks) are not my thing.

Looking forward to pics.

BTW, I'm tempted by the 700; I sort of like the "confetti" multicolour output

If you're looking at getting the 700$ Kenwood, may i suggest the AVIC D3? It's about the same price and it has GPS navigation and a very very nice IPOD interface with IPOD video capabilities. that's what i have in my car and i love it.
