Don't all the MSP's come with the darker housing?? Or do you mean they are BLACK. Mine are like a charcoal grey color stock.

looks pretty cool...now all you need is a drop, for some reason looks like there is alot of wheel gap...have you autox it yet?

they are not painted. They are the matte black tenzo r sinkos. The reason for the gap is its not lowered and the tires are 205/40/17's

Well, the factory tires were firestone (junk), so i put the rims and tires of my old car on there. They are yokahama parada spec 2. They are a thiner tire, therefore i dont have to worry about the tire doubling over when i corner hard.

doubling over?? care to explain what u mean by that. by the way the speedo was calibrated to work with the stock diameter of the stock rims which is bigger than what u have now. if i were u i would get the right tire size and some nice grippy tires too and u should have nothing to worry about if and when cornering hard. a thinner tire wont make u handle better, usually a wider tire tread will give u better handling cause of all the contact that the tire is making with the ground. but unless u can conflict my opinion then u dont really have a reason to have thinner smaller tires on your car.

what do you mean the factory tires were firestone? My factory tires like everyone else were bridgestone potenza reo40. Which are actually very good tires.

ummm

 Well . . . considering that his speedo is a whopping 3 miles an hour off , I don't see a big problem there.

Mazdaspeed23 did state that these wheels were off of his old car, so he just slapped those on there because:

a. they look a whole lot better.

b. Lighter and a smaller overall diameter will make the car a tad bit faster.

c. I think the Paradas handle better than what was on there.

d. Not that it's that big a deal, but the car can be lowered a little more.

well. . .

The stock tire has an aspect ratio of 45, while the Paradas have an aspect ratio of 40. This means that the sidewall of the tire is 40% of the tire width.

205/40/17

The first number is the width of the tire in millimeters, measured from sidewall to sidewall. 205mm

The second number is the aspect ratio. This is a ratio of sidewall height to width. 40%

The last number is the diameter of the wheel in inches. 17"
;)

I agree with that, they look different than stock Racing Harts and it's nice to see different style of MSP out there.

Lighter, probably. Smaller overall diameter will make the car faster to accelerate but your top speed will suffer a little bit.

the re040 are excellent grip tires as comapred with the paradas. the paradas suck once they wear down a little.

why mess with the best FWD handling car?
