Headlight replacement...

Well, I was replacing a bulb in the passenger side headlight and brilliant me broke the plastic retaining clip. Looks like I have no choice but to replace the entire thing and get a new headlight assembly now. I searched on eBay and they have a few different models for my 2002 P5. I'm just wondering if it's cheaper to buy after-market headlights or take it to the dealer? Any suggestions?

Let me know if you'd like the headlights with the black housing - I can get them for you. (See the link in my sig)

a junk yard is WAY cheaper then the stealership. just use some of the online search places, or like mazdarecyclers.com

Except those aren't going to really work for your p5. If you notice, there's only one housing for the high/low beams. Our p5's have two seperate housings within the headlights. Sorry if that sounds confusing, but take a look at your stock headlight then the aftermarket again and you'll see what I mean.

Yeah I see what you mean. Are there any aftermarket headlights that actually fit our P5's? I actually wouldn't mind getting a new set over the stock.

no just the ones with single headlights for the stock, mp3's and Speeds. There is a thread wanting to get projectors made but so far no luck
