Headlight question...

I have a 2006 Mazda 3 5-door with OEM HIDs. The clear outer lens on the right side headlamp broke from a slight altercation with a deer... I've read all the threads on HID lens replacement to see how to separate the clear outer plastic from the rest of the headlight. Now I just need to find the right outer lens to replace it with.

The hatchback enclosures are more expensive than the sedan ones. And the HID enclosures are WAY more... Since it's just the front outer clear lens, I was wondering if someone knew whether they are interchangeable. I know the whole assembly is different from hatch to sedan (mounting points and such), but is the front outer clear lens the same? And are the HID clear outer lenses the same as the non-HID ones?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS. Anyone got a spare passenger side headlight or outer lens? :)

The outer lense of the hatch and sedan are different. Not huge, but they're shaped differently to accomodate the subtle changes in the hood and bumper. The outer lense to the HID units are the same. Search on eBay for used headlights. They can be had on a regular basis from $40 - $100 (maybe even cheaper).

Also, PM'd you with possibility...
