Header for the SP20

Thats how all insurance companies that i've dealt with have worked as well.

coldie - yeah they pay for it too. However I'll warn you that it is all only paid for because of my deal with them, and because if needs be I'm expected to use it for work, even if I have to drive it to Darwin... But it is still worth it, I just cannot go overboard with mods, which is fine with me... for now. The good thing is my boss doesn't mind it being lowered, having the TWM short shifter in it, or the zorst, as long as it doesn't go overboard and reflect on the company.

coldie - most legal mods (ie dot approved) are ok (things like turbo arent as most ins companies wouldnt insure you and that's the line they'd take), however if you dont tell your ins co about the mod and they get damaged etc (say you have your wheels stolen), they will only replace them with factory items. well that's how suncorp works.

what if you have a turbo, and didn't tell them, and you have a rear end collision (turbo not damaged) and when the assessor looks at your vehicle, sees that you have illegal mods, would the ins co ever void your policy (because u didn't fully disclose all the mods) and refuse to pay for the repair bill?

I'd expect you'd have a problem, at the best you'd get your car replaced (depending on policy) in stock condition....

didnt tell insurer about turbo?
oh they can stuff u up, for breachin their duty of disclosure...doesnt matter if turbo aint damaged...coz having it changes the way they percieve you as a risk to them.

Yup Ken's taking payments for the GB thru paypal. Its free to setup an account, and you can make payments to other paypal users using your credit card.

Yeah I was thinking about going with aami and just not tell the about my mods, but i was afraid that if they found out, they could refuse any claims that I made. I was just wondering if anyone knew if this kinda of thing has happened before.

hell, i might as well get the header. can be my early xmas pressie. Alright group install sounds good coz im a bit iffy when it comes to these things.

woohoo :D great to hear arden! you wont be dissapointed!!!! :D :D :D

in terms of rear end damage and turbo - they do have the grounds to reject your claim, however it all depends on the assessor and how much of a prick they are

Andrew!hahaha, yeh i might as well give in!!!!!

all assesor are pricks IMO.
Every one that ive dealt with in the past have caused me great grief!.

just make sure you put your name on the GB list or let captain mp5 or whatever the hell his name is know...

if only the sway bars were as easy :(

Found from the Customs Website

Customs would not collect duty and/or GST where:

  • the value of the goods does not exceed $1000 for goods imported by post or $250 for goods imported air/sea cargo, other than by post; and
  • the Customs duty and/or GST liability of the goods does not exceed $50.
(cool) as long as i get Ken to mark the value low, i should be ok!

We should determine a price to tell him to mark out packages, would be strange if customs see different values for same item.

get him to mark them as used items. that way it'll be more likely to be safe through customs. reason being they'd believe $100 for a used header, not $100 for a new one.

do they open the packages and inspect it?
wot about 165us (around $240aud)for a header ?would they believe that,

merry xmas sabrelli! putting 165us declared value sounds good. i hope he can still insure it for the full value, despite the lower declared value... i'm gonna pay tonight so that i can get mine shipped out with the first batch of 10. you guys should do the same so we can install together! can't wait =D

and with the customs thing, do they mean envelopes when they say "post", and large packages when they say "cargo"?

i dont think the figure he quoted u includes insurance.
my postage of $54 or something doesnt
