Now i know honda's and acura's heads flow very well i was wondering if the Focus head is compatable with our block and would it flow good for us?

I thought the focus motor was similar to the mazda 3.

no the focus engine was built by ford and our was built by mazda they are just the same size but not the same engine i remembered seeing this on a probe forum

Oh yeah I had forgoten how old this motor is. This motor goes back to about 93-94. 626, mx6, probe, what else?

So the SVT motor is not a mazda motor i figured it would've been.

the FS motor in the protege was mazda in design and never went in any ford unless you count the probe which is really an mx-6 in different sheet metal. the ZETEC and related focus engines share literally nothing with ours. the mazda3 and the newer focus share cylinder blocks and thats about it.
