Head gasket on MSP - questions...

I've got to do head gasket on 2003MSP.

It looks as though he pulled the head but left the intake and exhaust manifolds in place (but detached from head?)?

So, do I need to disconnect exhaust manifold/turbo from the downpipe or is there enough play to allow the manifold to be pulled off the head studs?

Doing it this way could save a ton of time.

I've R&I'd the head without removing the exhaust manifold assembly from the vehicle and left the intake attached to the head. I simply R&R'd the gasket and reassembled.
