nice avatar.. no idea what you are talking about.

i think he is talking about wiring a valentine 1 radar detector so it doesn't take up his cigarette lighter plug.

I'll check them out. I really want it done quick and cheap, and it should be seeing that I want to wire it right next to my gauge pod on A-Piller. Should be easy for them....

its completely easy...like Arch said...anyone can do it...if I get enough time tomorrow, I will take pics of my hardwire and post it.

on mine all i did was wire the neg wire to the frame of the car behind the glove box and the pos wire into my radio power where it recieves power anytime i turn my key to acc or on. then i just ran the wires behind the gauge up the a-pillar and through the cieling stuff. and thats it! dont wire it into the power for your lights cuz then it will only work when the lights are on. wire it to something that turns on when you turn your car on.

I was going to say the same thing man. Wow amazing.... (uhm) . Good luck with that and let me know. I want to hard wire my radar detector as well.

I have a Valentine One and the wire is more like a telephone cord, if you can remember what a corded phone looks like, so I think splicing it and finding positive and negative would be more difficult. Mabey not, but thats just what I'm thinking. I called Car Toys and those ***** said it would be 73.17 after tax. ...WTF?! 5 minute job I know, I just don't know how to do it. BTW did you soulder the wire to the frame?

yeah they use the same cord. looks like a telephone wire. soulder? no way. i just bolted it to the frame. thats it. works fine. tied the positive into the power cable for the stereo.
