These larger wheel trends are getting old. Soon it'll be like the old horse drawn wagons with 4-5 foot wheels. (ooh, photoshop!)
I saw a big ass mercedes sedan with like 24's and the damn thing sat higher than an SUV! It had like a foot of ground clearance!

As for the 28" tires, I'm sure they are one off customs.

Check this out 35's on the front, 50" on the rear!!
