Guitarists?

That's really cool. I'll keep that in mind for future projects. One local band just has a paypal and is asking for money to support their "tour"

Yeah, I'm not hip to that. The band needs to have a real goal, and something the people can hold in their paws after the money is raised, IMHO. Asking money for a tour just sounds like asking for beer money while on tour. No thanks. haha

Exactly, also, Kickstart shows a tangible goal and shows you reaching that goal rather than dumping money in a secret paypal account. You're very right about using the money for a finished product. If I donate money to a band, I want to see an awesome CD with my name in the Thank Yous. I don't want to think I bought someone beer

No, I politely declined the gig. He sent me 8 songs to learn and I just couldn't dumb myself down to play 8th notes with a pick and an overdriven tone. And I had to learn them in 2 weeks. Doesn't sound like much but he's very picky and wants the songs played note for note of what's on his recordings.

I have a gig for March 15th in C-bus with my funk/soul band I'm looking forward to though. We still have to pick a stupid band name. So far everyone likes "Tree City". I don't really care. I preferred "The Funky Nematodes". but it's all good. haha

How are your drum lessons coming, Chris?

Cam, are you excited about your gigs coming up?

lame! live stuff is never the same as recorded. thats why its better. I haven't been having lessons for a while. The guy got busy with college so I'm taking a break while he gets settled in with all that. Plus the weather is poopy. We got about 8 inches dumped here last night.

Very excited about these gigs. 2013 has so-far proved to be a huge year for us.

I don't like Tree City, reminds me of Tree Fiddy.

You should name it The Friendly Chartreuse Bubble Gum Machine ;)

It was a band name from the cartoon Angry Beavers

What does the bad weather have to do with playing drums? Are you playing outside? :D

Oh man, I didn't even think of that, Cam. Good call.

Apparently "Nematodes" was from Doug. That was after my time though...

Sure was, imaginary creature they wanted to catch at the pond. I grew up with those shows because I'm 12 >.<

I'm sure it's not, but I'm not into boutique basses (gasp!). I've had a couple and they just didn't have the tone I prefer. Old school, fat, heavy Fender tone.

I've had a boner for this bass for a month now. I love maple on black. And Squier stuff is so cheap you don't feel guilty buying it!

How about you guys, what gear have you been thinking about pulling the trigger on?

I snapped a pic of my freind/co-worker Tele and my Jazz. They almost look like twins. That's the perk about working with a bunch of musicians is we usually jam on our lunch breaks in the back room.

My first electric was a special edition Squire. It was a cherry sunburst strat with a 3-ply pickguard. It was from a limited series Fender had at the time. I still have that littler girl, she's lived in a case for a decade now

Killer Jaguar and GORGEOUS DRUM SET!

Have you guys seen the Fender Jagstang? It's definitely a Fender Frankenstein combo of the Start, Tele, some, bass, just about everything they make
