Just a little side note......with everyone mentioning tradition guitars, I looked at their website. Do they have anything that THEY designed? Everything on that damn page is a complete ripoff. Stratocaster, Telecaster, Les Paul, Guilds, even something that looks like its trying to be a PRS

I've decided to go ebay shopping since I've started playing for an old band again. I need to get a good pre amp and a power amp. So far I think I'm going to dig up an old Carvin Quad X preamp and a Mosvalve 962 power amp since I'm short on funds for something nicer.

If there is a guitar forum like talkbass.com, there will be some MEAN classifieds. Lots of stuff over in the bass world.

I've made my purchases and now I'm just waiting for the stuff to get shipped in. I went with a Kasha Rockmod II preamp.

Retails for over $1,000. I found a used one for around $500.

I'm going to push it with a Peavey Classic Series 50/50 Power amp.

I'm so excited about getting this all hooked up. It might start to exagerate the shortcomings of my Laney 4X12 cabinet though.

I picked the Peavey power amp up last night and mounted it in my rack. It's such a good feeling turning it on and seeing the tubes light up inside. After playing through a very thin sounding solid state setup for the last few years it will be so nice to go back to tubes. Now I'm just waiting on the pre-amp before I can plug my guitar in and pretend I'm a rock star all over again.

That 5 string looks like a Tobias. I'm actually a drummer who learned how to play bass while the band I playrd in was in it's begining stages.

To resurrect an old thread....

Couple of new toys there (Geddy Lee Jazz, GK 400RB-IV 210, Aguilar GS112). I'll have to get a family pic when I get my digicam back. Currently refinishing my NS-2 as well, so pics of that process as it goes are also coming.
