YeeHaa! Rings arrived today! I've been trying to get my hands on some of these since last March great job Cullen! Unfortunately, I've gotta throw them in my "spare parts" pile (see attached) until I can carve a thrash session into my calendar. :D

If you guys want shiny rings, here are a few tips.

Hit them with 600+ grit sand paper then rubbing compound and then clean with water. Then a coat of wax to top it off..

Install tip guys.....take the black bezel off the guage faces , and the glue dots are MUCH easier to put on, plus you don't have to worry about breaking needles, and you can give a little harder push on the rings to secure them down.......

I did this and they turned out beautifuly. I started with 400 and LIGHTLY, and I do mean LIGHTLY took out any blemishes. Polished them up with some 1000 grit, gave them a good rub with some Mother's metal polish and then some wax. Man they do look nice.

Can you expand on that idea... like how you take them off? I just put my rings on last night and that thought didn't even cross my mind. What is left behind after you remove the black?

the black bezel comes off the same way the clear plastic cover does...those little plastic clips.....

when you take it off the flat gauge faces are all that's left
