GT3076R is now installed and need help

i have installed the GT3076R and now when i go to crank the motor it starts but dies , i do have a oil leak from the turbo , can that cause my motor to start then stop because of oil pressure ???? please let me know all possibilities. Thanks . I mean i would think that its because of the oil leak which is getting fixed tomorrow but idk PLEASE HELP

Did you disconnect any sensors? I seriously doubt your oil leak would be that bad to cause it to shut down due to low oil presure. However im not familar with your car.
 
i disconeted the battery and the o2 sensors and also the plus that are on top of the spark plugs ...... thats it i cant recall unplugging anything else
 
sounds similar to this other guy.... his ended up being a low battery. I'm not too sure that anything with the oil lines would do this.

If you have a charger, it might be worth it to hook it up to charge the battery and then see what happens. Definitely fix the leak either way, but that shouldn't affect anything enough to stop the motor AFAIK

ya because when i was cranking over the motor i had to be jump so do you really think its it battery now ???>
 
i do know from working on these that if you have a big loss of oil pressure it will not stay running.

ex: Jiffy lube did oil change on MS6, cracked oil filter housing (plastic) crank and start up, squirt oil and then die. Replaced cracked housing, all is well once again.
 
most deffinately could be battery try givving it a little gas the second it turns over this should give you your answer right away unless of course your alternator is gone. and this also sounds like you maybe stuck some towel in intercooler piping, intake mani. or even exhaust mani. i would check all for clogs of some kind that would deffinately give you that problem. also make sure the turbine wheel is spinning freely. good luck.
 
oil loss is not going to prevent the car from turning over. something is not connected somewhere. sensors, coils, fuel pump, injectors, battery, o2 sensors, etc etc etc. check and recheck everything. there is nothing related to engine lubrication that would prevent the engine from firing up.
 
yes the turbo is the only think i installed along with the ATP DP and the ATP intake system . I did really find the problem , but i called checker auto parts and they said to hook the battery up and turn everything on <Headlights , interior lights, AC , everything until you no longer see and light > then take only the negitive off the battery for 15 mins , once that is done hook the neg back to the battery and all will work . I tried it and my car fired right up . But now i only have a Oil return leak which is not bad and an easy fix but dam can you hear that turbo spool way more then the stock LOL haha i love it . I will be getting the FMIC in 2 days . So all i guess is well LOL



I will be putting videos up in about a day or two , according to all my friends they think it sounds like a mean muscle car LOL , it really does sound mean. BTW i dont have and mufflers or anything . All i have is the GT3076R , ATP DP and straight pipe from there

It sounds like you'll have a nice daily driver when it's all done (it's never all done). What engine management are you running?
 
im not running any management right now , i have the corksport FMIC and that whole kit showing up tomorrow i have pistons coming and yeah........ right now its sitting on a 10k lbs lift in my garage . so not running haha

Hi!

Let me know what are you goin to use as a Turbo inlet pipe, the corksport FMIC, has a 2.25 turbo inlet and your turbo has at least 4" opening.

I have the 3071R and have not intalled this same FMIC because of this issue.
