Hi...I have reviewed lots of posts re: the GT leather seats (how to clean, how they wear, etc.). I didn't see much of anything about if whether or not they soften a bit over time. I am really liking my 2016 - any advice / input is appreciated...thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!!

I use leather cleaner wipes and leather conditioner on mine once every 3 months.

Mine are nice and soft but not too soft. You need some stiffness....

Not to hijack this post, but how do you clean the holes. My 18 month tossed her cookies and I got most of it up, but some of holes still have some in it.

Thanks, jjp

I have used my air compressor with the air gun attached.

In a pinch - canned air will probably work. Use the red straw very close to the hole.

OR....use a pin and start poking. :)

I used a lightly damp soft cloth to wipe it clean. Once dry, I used leather care lotion to give it a light coat n polish, once a fortnight.

I beat the s*** out of the seat until the particles get loose and pop out so I can swipe them off or when I'm in the mood get the dyson out and vacuum it out using the brush extension.

Thanks for the suggestions on conditioning the seats. I used Griot's product on our 2015 Odyssey light gray leather and it cleaned nicely, but I think I'll check out Zaino or Lexol products for the CX-5. I was primary driver of the Odyssey for about 10 mos. and the seats felt a bit stiff/firm at the start too (especially in the winter and the lumber was rather pronounced). I turned it over to my wife and bought the CX-5 for myself.

The CX-5 seats fit me well (5'10" / ~160 lbs) - I'm just hoping they become slightly less firm in the short run.

Lol these seats are a bear to clean.

I sat in a GT and the seats were rather stiff. I ended up buying a Touring with cloth and its very comfortable.

I went in thinking Touring, but liked the 19" rims and some of the other options on the GT. Seats felt good during the multiple test drives - maybe I'm just over-thinking it at this point.
