GT-28 or haltech e6x

since you like the turbo so mach y no get the turbo, then the ems and put the bouth in at the same time :p,

and t3t4 its just the flange, turbos shoud be same size

used GT-25R my friend there is a difference. Maybe not but i wouldnt expect anything lower then 500

Go with Haltech.

Looked at the turbine wheel and AR. They have the identical spec, therefore their eff. and performance is the same. This means that the turbine would deliver the same work to the compressorat the same pressure ratio!! Now if you want more flow and increase in Ve (volumetric eff.) it would require the compressor to pump more = more work required. Have you rematched the turbine to see if there's enough work available to drive the GT28R compressor at high eff. Remember the engine must first pump out enough exhaust gas for the increase work demand that the GT28R's compressor requires. It would really suck if you got GT28R but the compressor is operating at a lower eff. than the GT25, it's kinda a step backward.

I personally go with a haltech. 250hp for FWD is more than plenty, if you want mega hp get a RWD or AWD, physic constrains FWD. with a haltech, you would get your 250hp and if you want more get a different car, plus more power would probably mess up the dynamic of this car's characteristic, something I wouldn't want to mess with. just my .02. :D

And I'm back in Ann Arbor finally, so u live close to Briarwoods and Meijer? I live around the hill area.

HALTECH. Fo Sho. I agree with whoever. Safety before power is always the best approach. I didn't read the thread but we're offerring the E6 via Hiboost and so on.

I should be doing mine in a couple weeks.

Just about to leave Japan. Be back one more day.

Haltech man. I know bigger turbos are tempting, esp since the MSP's have relatively small turbos in the turbo world. Tune your GT-25 and then throw the disco potato on when you can come up with the funds. In reality, the GT-25 will make great power, whereas you'll be worrying about the tranny with a tuned GT-28R/S. You're halfway there to protecting the first weakest link(motor) so just finish it off with proper tuning.

uhh.. the t3/t4 turbo is MUCH MUCH larger turbo than the gt-2 series. The Gt25 and the gt-28 are basically the same housing with a different wheel.
The turbine side is the same, but the compressor might be a little larger on the .AR, and its definately a bigger wheel, but its still the same series.

I'd suggest that if your gonna get either haltech or a turbo 1st, get the haltech. The stock gt-25 will flow 28lbs/min, which is good for 270-280 hp, when properly tuned.

You're gonna start having transmission problems if you dont take care of it anyways, so get the car tuned on the stock turbo 1st, and anyways... 280 hp is quite a bit.. and i think you'll find it quite fun.

Remember, you WILL need bigger injectors regardless of what you decide, and n/a RX7 450cc's will work great.

Do whats smart, tune the car to the max on the stock turbo, and if you still need more, then get a t3 60 trim with a stage 5 wheel. That will flow about 38lbs a min, and even though you'll need a new manifold, it wont be more than 12-1300 for both.
