Greddy emanage timing control!

WHAT????????
What I am missing here?

I mean....Terry, are you serious?
Can the Emanage control fuel AND ignition timing?
So...can the Emanage control injectors @ idle?

Emanage - MPI - Haltech

10psi.... Oh my god.

Yeah, it was just a matter of time to get the timing down. (Greddy sucks for support. . .so figuring out the proper settings is a major pain in the ass.)

The emanage will be great, but like all systems of this nature (piggybacks) you are modifying the duration of the injector by some percentage and they will not take all engine sensors into account. Whether that makes a big deal or not is yet to be seen.

Lucky for you in PR there isn't that much of a temperature swing, so you won't have to worry about temps going from 100 to 0 over the course of the year.

Party on!

Well we finally got it to work ladies and gents(laugh)
We will do some final testing on SkaterNCMP3's car and our shop car.

The emanage can now effectively control timing retard and advance, and accurate fuel control along with many other cool functions. You can control additional injectors or stock injectors.
10psi should be good with this piggy back on stock injectors and 12psi on 410's

This will be available as our stage 2.5 upgrade at $600-$650

It will include pre programmed maps, sensors, harness's and pre tuned fuel and timing maps

I will keep everyone updated:D

awesome.

am i correct in assuming this wont come with the tuning software and PC data cable? the carputer waits for more fun add-ons :)

Terry, would you be able to come up with maps for a stage1 kit? I'm mainly concerned with the timing on the MP3, and would like to avoid swapping out my ECU with a P5/ES ECU (due to lack of VTCS and a CEL)... That and the better fuel control (although a FMU would be perfectly fine with such low boost)... That would be sweet.

Great news for all! Will the "timing" box be available for people already running E-Manage units? I'm still waiting on my cables to come in from overseas.

You don't need any "timing box". Just wire it up as per the "2 channel" ignition wiring diagram in the emanage instructions. Mind you, you do need the support tool and cable, optional ignition and injector harness to make full use of the emanage features. If you look around http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/emanage/ and want to save some money, you can find out how to get a generic support tool cable, generic ignition and injector harnesses... Even instructions to wire up a GM 2 or 3 bar map sensor.

You can preview instructions here http://mohdparts.com/emanage/manuals/emanage_main_manual/index.html
http://mohdparts.com/emanage/manuals/emanage_software_manual/index.html .

If you don't want to buy a laptop, check out the Greddy e-01 http://greddy.com/products/electronics_frame.htm .

If it were only that easy chooch.. You will fry your coils hooking it up directly.

I've been using if for almost a year now, wired it up wrong the first time and didn't fry anything...

Please list your wiring notes for us to see how you have your e-manage hooked up. Also, any modifications done to the unit as well. And your current car setup.

Thanks.

Yeah, chooch, I'm curious how you have it wired up. I remember seeing somebody post a response from Greddy saying it wouldn't work with our coil packs. And thus, the eManage has always been thought of a fuel only solution for us until now. Hmph.

Chris

If you look in the shop manual, there are only 2 ignition signal wires, signal out of ecu into emanage and emanage out to the coils. Luckily our cars retained a Mazda ignition system. The emanage will definately not work with a Ford igition system. Some tried it on a Contour and fried something, but not the coil.

You must be driving a different Mazda than all of us, every Mazdaspeed, MP3, and P5 use a ford based ignition system. Care to explain how yours is mazda?
