Has anyone every heard of these before??? My friend has one on his Cavalier that he got from a corvette... How it works is, you flip the switch to turn it on, and the ur MPH gauge just TURNS OFF and lets ur RPMS go as far as it can go... and the good thing is its not permenent... u can turn it off... this little mod made my friends CAVALIER TRIP in 3rd NASTY...

just wanted to let u guys know what my next mod was...

Why would you want this??

The Protege doesn't have a speed govenor, and over revving the engine isn't a good idea. The fuel cut off is a good thing.

Why do I feel like an instigator recently? First it is the whole boost issue with the Mazdaspeed Protege, and now the govenor issue...Then I went and started a thread elsewhere to tell people to stop whining about the Protege being crap, when it isn't.

I repeat my answer to the thread about what annoys people on this board, "I believe I have become what is annoying on this board."
