Got to Punch My Guy Card Today!

Yes, indeed. I "fixed" it. With duct tape. Once again, I have proved that I'm a guy.

Anyway, I used the tape for a temporary fix on my '02 MP5 (95K miles). A huge hole appeared in the rubber bellows part of the intake air hose betwen the air filter and throttle body, so I have it covered with duct tape.

Everything else is fine, including the sensor, so I just need to replace the air hose. Rock Auto doesn't seem to have them, and I only need to replace it with stock. Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive place to buy?

I know that this isnt stock but the preformed intake tubes at autozone, pepboys, etc are cheap and maybe cheaper than stock. Just a suggestion.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this thread. Anyway, I bought an OE replacement from the dealer for $65. I was thinking that wasn't bad until I read the post above that says rockauto now has it for $30.

Oh well. Either way, no more(shrug) duct tape and it once again runs like a champ.

Well, I just checked, and it seems that the intake has been pulled from the RockAuto website . For those wondering, it is made by Dorman, and the p/n is 696-601
