LOL, each rotor? Yep, it looks like you've got it right with the exhausts. I just don't like how the Racing Beat is 2". The stock system is 2" - I mean they could have bumped the diameter up to like 2.25" or something, I think that might be a better compromise, especially for those who plan to port in the future (like me!). You can leave the 6PI open but you will loose low end. The system is kind of similar to the VICS on the Protege (at least in it's function). They stay closed to keep intake velocity up and maintain power at lower engine speeds and they open at higher speeds to allow more air to flow. The problem you're running into now is one of the main reasons I wanted to go with a S5 (that and the power increasethe true dual does seem badass, i think stock size works well since each rotary has its own exhaust and being bigger could just end up killing all low end, but the cost is just insane for me right now.
but thanks for all the info guys. so any catback will work as long as i go with RB header and presilencer or CS header and race pipe. Right?
also if i went with the race pipe could i just always have the ports open by doing some sort of modification or would that not be a good idea?
