I did. And I finally got them off. Big ugly "Seaview Mazda" sticker on the back. Bah.

Anyway, spray some WD40 on it..let it sit...and peel away. good luck.

I actually told my dealer to have them removed before I even purchased the car....damn the way I figure it is I'm paying them a lot of money for a car...I'm certainly not going to advertise for them for free!

3M actually makes a product specifically for removing them....works like a champ too.

also if you are real careful, get the edge or corner up...use a hair dryer and get it warmed up....that works well too....just takes a little time.

lucky for me..the dealer put one of the METAL tags on with double sided tape on it....took all of five seconds to pop that sucker off! lol

seeing as how he didn't want to knock money off the car for me doing HIS ADVERTISING!

i used the good ol finger nail technique!, and a little rubbing alcohol afterwards, for the sticky stuff.

I took mine off right infront of the dealer. Took me all of 3 seconds. Not having their advertisement on my pride and joy.

yes...i didn't like being a driving advertising...therefore teh licenseplate frame had to go and so did the earnhartd mazda stickers..."and that aint no bull" (dealer motto)

oh yeah....I forgot....I too took off the plate frames.....I did attempt to get them to take off another $500 for the advertising fee....they wouldn't go for it....so I too told them to NOT to put that crap on my car...but it was already on the back of my wifes...so I just yanked it off.

I don't think they are allowed to do that in CA because befroe I moved to IN for high school I had never seen dealership stickers on cars.

It always makes me shake my head when some dealers have these huge stickers on the back of someone's car and you just know they get nothing for having it there....whenever a friend or whatever gets a car, I'm always right there telling them to get the damn advertisements off the car.

Luckily all I had on my car was the license plate frame that was easy to remove. I read somewhere that dealers are supposed to ask you if they can put their logo/sticker on your car. If you ask for it to be removed they shouldn't argue with you. I agree with everyone...screw advertising for them. I mean if they gave me the car for free then we'll talk.

I peeled mine off in the on a warm September day, just before I went in to the Checker to go get car wash stuff. Ironically I was going to ask in there how to get the thing off.

I had the dealership take off their license plate frame that was on the back before I bought the Protege5, but since I got a 75,000 mile extended warranty that included oil changes. Just about every time I take the car in for a oil change and get the car back, there's the dealership license plate frame on my car. It sucks cause I always notice it after a few days has passed.
