Goodyear Eagle RS-A - 195/50/16 - Stock Size - $77/ea

Good tip, but the three reviews that popped up first all say "Worst tire I have ever used".

I dont have any experience with these, but I would be hesitant based on what the other folks on Tirerack said.

The 'wet' reviews are not that great either from both tirerack and the first few that I read. IMO there are better all seasons out there.

Don't let the price be your only determining factor. After all the tires are the only thing connecting your car to the road.

You can find better tires for around the same price. And if you didn't already know try searching for a 205/50/16 or 205/45/16....they will fit the stock wheels with very little discrepancy from the speedometer and will give you many more options to choose from.

Good price, bad tires. My father dad set of them on his 3 gt and they sucked. Not very good in any condition and they wore down fairly quick.

Any pointers to the alternatives or direct suggestions? Quite a few people are / shortly will be looking for all seasons, me included :D

RSA's sucks, they wear out way to fast. Look at the UTQG - 260AA, they wear real fast. If your looking for a deal, how bout the Kumho Ecsta ASX's. They are cheaper, and have a better wear rating. They have a higher speed rating (W vs. the V for the RSA's , not that a P5 is gonna do 168mph.....) Speaking from personal experience on my own P5, the Kumho's are a great tire at a great price. They lasted twice as long as the OE RSA's that came on it. I also have a boat load of customers who love the Ecsta ASX's both in performance and in price.

I think the rest of the comments spoke for themselves, but i've had this tire on my 2003 Grand Am GT, and my 2007 Trailblazer SS. Worst tire EVER. No bulls***. It has NO positive areas, it's terrible in rain and snow. I'd rather run bald summer's than these tires.

My p5 came with falken 912's. So far, they offer near summer tire performance. They are cheap. Try discounttiresdirect.

On discountiredirect 205/50/16 the 912's are $77 shipped, ast's are $78 shipped, and the summer 452's, which are excellent summers, are $85 shipped. When you factor in the shipped pricing, you can't beat those guys. Btw, if you are in socal, you have no business buying all seasons. ;)

tires

Mine came with the Kuhmos. They're not bad at all. Great in rain and snow. Maybe noisy and rough riding, but that could be the car. I've only heard them squeal once, and that was my fault. 205/45/16 is an option, but they're mostly high performance, low life tires. Not for everyone.

Is it ok to use 205/55/R16, since there is many choice out there with this size.

I've been running a set of Blizzack 205/55r16 for a few months now, seeing that my old set of summers were shot when I put the snows on last fall and haven't got around to buying a new set of summers. Plus, the blizzacks were free, so I really don't care if I wear them out running them dry. They fit with no issue, but I have not modified the suspension, so I can't say if there would be an issue if the vehicle is lowered or has modified springs.
