One members comments do not in any way reflect how MOCC feels about you guys. Also I wanted to extend the invite to Promazda , to come and check it out what we have going on here.
the point _IS_ to generate that interest.. that's the whole point.. bring a long deserved status to the protege.. this ain't no 626, baby...
they 626's don't have mazda exclusive meets.. because they don't deserve one.. the 323's and the Protege, all generations.. well deserve it. if you want Protege to mean ANYTHING to aftermarket manufacturers, we have to show that we can organize as a unit, by ourselves.. for ourselves.....
lump us in with 7's and miata's, and that's what we'll get. passing aftermarket consideration, and passing mention of "well, that's a swell car too"
i own a Protege. i am very proud to do so. we need to represent for our own contingent.
This community, and others, are a good deal of what make the Protege popular. without them, we WOULD be relegated to the status of 626's and Millennias... only as "the cheaper version"..
you underestimate the power of this forum and it's ability for the forums to speak up on our car's behalf. i'd even be willing to go so far as to say your very car was made in part BECAUSE of the support the protege has gotten in the aftermarket, and in online communities.
it's high time to do something for ourselves on this scale.

i dont think it should be protege exclusive. I thought we already agreed that it wouldn't. I invited a bunch of friends with 6s and miatas. There not gonna want to go to a protege meet. I mean come on now, the protege is on the bottom the mazda ladder. I like the car but its not the be all the to end all. We are Mazda of California remember, not Mazda proteges of California. We should just make it mazda thing.

no need to exclude other mazdas, but keeping the focus on protege's since it is the proteges who are getting it together.
