I think my kx250.2 is going under the driver seat w\ the xover, and the nine.1 will be in this are. The nine.1 doesnt run hot at all, and I was thinking if it did I could always rig up a vent system w\ a fan to cool things down. Just looking for a bit of input. I could always run it under the passanger seat again, but I hate having people stepping on my amp

i dont know what kinda car ur talkin about but the 3 doesnt have a whole lotta room under there. and the rear floor vents are under there. (uhm)

If you flipped it around you would have more room for the cables. You can probably remove the front panel and flip it around so it still looks like it is facing the right way.

However, in the summer months it wouldn't surprise me if that amp got hot enough melt or disform the plastic cargo tray. I'm not sure how thick the plastic is. You will definitely need fans to ventilate the area.

that pic is of the amp in the trunk cargo tray, why you would run it there i have no idea, and as chuyler said if you close that up you deffinatly need ventaliation... if you run it under either of the front seats you must be carefull b/c the rear passenger hvac vents are under there so you can either remove them and have more room for your amp so people won't be steppin on it as easily, but that takes away from the hvac system.... it all depends on what you are willing to go without.... my feelings, just remove the cargo tray and build your own small amp rack in the trunk with a couple fans for vent...

Ive decided to do it the same way as the p5, both amps under the seats. I dont really care if the people in the rear dont get air or heat, not MY problem lol. I will probably just find the duct that goes to those vents and disconnect it (if possible). If not oh well, if I live in CA and a heater isnt a thing used a whole lot for me.

yeah you can just pull the duct out and it will also give you more room to push the amp further towards the front and away from feet...

I ended up pulling the vent out, damn carpet was kind of tough to fold over. I couldnt figure out how to pull the pass. airbag sensor off to remove the seat fully, and basically didnt want to be smashed in the head by the airbag if I pulled it off wrong. Alls well and I am in bassland. Still have yet to hook up the comps and amp for them yet, all wires are ran though. Soon enough. Im actually pretty impressed with the stock speakes and tweets off the aftermarket HU power. I dont like how the Metra kit looks though. Hopefully some others come out shortly. I think I want to get a smaller sub too, my car is noticably slower with the 12"xxx and box back there.
