ok ok..yea, i've been buggin about which way to go about dropping my car and keeping a good ride for the longest time. I wanted coils at first..realized they weren't what I wanted and decided on springs.

I then narrowed them down to SPOOLS or EIBACH...because spools might be a little too low for me..and EIBACH has always been a good name out there..I decided I'd get some next friday (payday)..

BUT NOW..tonight..i find another name..GOLD LINE...and hear that they also have a good name..i think  but yea..anyways..they're like almost 100 dollars cheaper(139/set) and the drop is 1.75 all around...i think that's a pretty good deal for a nice drop..but I don't really know much about gold line and haven't heard of anyone having them on their mazda..so yea..can anyone fill me in on these springs?

also, any opinions would be appreciated..

either way..by next friday i'm placing an order for SOMETHING..haha i've been waiting to drop my car for the longest time now

thx guys. CYL.

I mentioned these springs on a post about no more spool springs. and i stand by them I have another set i just put into the eclipse im building and they are perfect ..also my buddy with his eclipse GST spyder took those and also cut 1&1/2 coils off of them and DAAYYYUUUUMMMMM that just set the car off the chain ... so i can assure you they are a good spring also ..they are made from the guy whoe created the eibach spring ... i will be getting mine here in a week or so .. so ill post picts and let you know if you still aint made up your mind

My friend had gold line on his 240sx he recently totaled. They work great! no complaints about them.

cool i guess i'll wait a while and see what's up with your drop MP5Raycer. 1.75...hMm..i'll think about it. thanks for the replies guys.

I think i might go with the gold line springs as soon as i get my car back, right now i am kind of undecided whether to wait for the spool springs, or go with the sprint springs with a 2" inch drop all the way around, but i dont know the quality of the spring springs, but i have heart of gold line and i thing 1.75" drop is good enough for me. Plus the price is a whole lot better. Only $139 compared to $175 for the sprint and $199 for the spool. Does anybody have the goldline springs installed pics?

no..i'm waiting to MP5Raycer's pics myself. He said he'd be getting them pretty soon. Pics don't really mean anything though. If you wanna see a 1.75' drop just look at any other pictures of springs that have about the same drop(ie spools, tien sprint)..

what i'm really waiting to know is how the gold line's ride quality is. quality-wise, i'm leading on the eibachs. but yea, gold lines are almost 100 dollars cheaper shipped to your door.

well i got picts of the eclipse i am working on .. i just put them in and put brand new Motegi MR4'son then 17 inch gunmetal and it looks sweet

How is the ride though with the gold lines? I have the ground control's right now but to me personally the ride is crappy. I love the drop though but i saw the gold line for $139 with a 1.75" drop and it sounded like a deal to good to pass up. But from experience how is the ride quality? Noisy, bouncy, etc...

very very quiet .. there is not noise ..the only time you get noise from dropping your ride is the factory struts bottoming out or the spring bouncing up and down since most factory struts are too long for 2 inch drops so there is a little spring play but it is a perfect ride .. and i dont cut the bumb stops .. i leave them alone

dammit when i put my ground control's on i cut my bump stops. Could i order them through factory? If i do how much are they? Or where else can i get them from?

yeah that is a factory item or check with sears or parts department to see what kind of stuts our car has 9 i assume your using factory struts)

yea i still have factory struts, i am probaly going to order the gold line springs with in the next 2 or 3 weeks. How much do you thing all 4 bump stops will cost? Just out of curosity?

i am pretty sure that the gold line springs will also work for the protege 5 also. but dont take my word for it

yea, they'll go on the p5. i just called speed people and asked. hah. i also just ordered them. i'm hopin it'll be worth it. oh well, i'll find out in 7-10 days.
