Gol' durn revenuers!

Got a ticket today. (five-0) 61 in a 45, but he wrote me for 54 in a 45. That makes it $131 instead of $250. I went 28 years without a ticket, and now this is three in four years! Aaarrrrgggghhhhh! (protest)

Money is tight for the counties

I noticed that they write more often, and give fewer verbals

the pressure is on to be self funding, or at least bleed less red ink

I got stopped in a school zone earlier this year -- 31 in a 20. The deputy said, "You know the fine for that is $293 don't you?" Gulp - "No, sir." After he'd made sure I wasn't Al Qaeda, he said "Slow down and have a nice day." Whew!

What's annoying about that school zone is no one drops off kids on the road in front of the school, they all go onto the school grounds and drop 'em off. Basically, it's just another tax.

School zones are designated more for areas around the school for those kids that walk to school. Supposed to keep traffic slower for the safety of the children. That and in some states its used to keep the drug dealers buffered away from school. Side effect anything you do bad in the zone is more expensive. I dont speed in school zones now that I have a kid. I dont want some idiot running my kid over cause he doesnt wanna slow down so I make sure I go slow through them.

I agree: School zones, construction areas, populated areas it makes sense to slow down. However, I feel that speed limits on large highways that aren't around much are waaaaay to slow.

lol next thing u know u end up like me

2 reckless driving
1 street racing
6 moving violation
8 non-moving violation
3 noise pollution
5 illigal modification to car
and a s*** loud of seat belt violation

Some of you guys are lucky asses! I never get a break and I always say yes sir and all that crap. I even have my car well off the road, keys on the dash, all windows down, ect... ect... Now I have had some convos with a few officers that went well but still got a ticket for what I was doing.

Now as far as having your papers ready when the officer gets to the car. A few officers have mixed feelings on that. It makes some uneasy to see someone digging around if the car before they get to it. They never know what is about to happen but can only assume. Then others hate having to wait on ya but rather be able to see what you are doing. So I guess that really depends on the officer.

I agree on not running over kids but that also goes both ways. Dont raise kids to just go play in traffic and that will prevent one controllable variable.

I dont care what you say a kid can still get ran over at 5-15mph if the driver isnt paying attention and a the kid is a retard that decides its fun to plays in traffic.

Yeah, 'specially if you're digging in the glove box or under the seat.
