Got home last night and noticed a luminescent orange front left rotor... probably time for a new caliper. (Tried to take a picture but the cell phone was too slow.) These aftermarket calipers are all junk--they fail after 2-4 years.
The aftermarket rear calipers are especially rubbish--this Pro has gone through 3 calipers per side in the rear in the past 100,000 miles. Incentive to get the Autozone lifetime warranty calipers. But with the next car I'll be rebuilding the calipers myself from OEM parts (a rear OEM rebuild kit for the Pro is ~$70, which is a complete rip-off but cheaper than replacing the calipers on the current nearly-weekly schedule).
