Flags of the country on a single mast are to be flown at the highest point on the mast,if another country is to be flown on the same mast then it is flown below the host country .
This is universal throughout the world . In the case of the video ,the people flying the Mexican flag on top were insulting the US and the people living there .
As A Canadian ,I totally understand the Vet's emotion toward the insult of his countries flag more power to him

Like others have said.....I may not completely agree with the methods, but I do agree with the thought process and, well, end result. I'm all about being proud of your heritage, but at the end of the day, this is America.

IMO being hispanic and non-mexican..i think that yes it was illegal what he was doing but I do too give him the benefit of doubt im not making excuses for him .
I am also dating someone who is an Iraq Vet (kinda off topic sorry)and i think the vet had a good reason tobe upset but he couldve taken a diff way to fix this .
but i do too agree you are in this country and need to adjust to the culture my family has (even tho their english isnt perfect) .and Obey the law

Not even. Ed-209's Patriotism chip would have overriden the 5 second time limit and brought that store to the ground asap. Thats why we only deploy him in extreme combat situations.

The vet let his emotions get the better of him but I can clearly understand especially in the world climate today why he would do that.
I really don't understand the debate on this. The Vet (old man, sic) had every right to take down the mexican flag. WTF is going on in our country? Political correctness is well on it's way to ruining it. Makes me want to (puke)

Wrong. They had every right to fly the Mexican flag. First Amendment rights. He had no right to take an American flag (or anything else) that belonged to them. That's theft. If they're breaking the law, that's for the police to deal with, not just any lunatic with a big knife.

I'm not supporting the people who broke the law and disrespected the American flag, but what he did (stole their American flag and threw their Mexican flag on the ground) was just as illegal and disrespectful. How is it only OK for him to break laws?

I think your lack of acceptance on this board (from what I've seen) is you really haven't contributed much intelligence to any subjects, just hasty ill thought out opinions. And I've seen your "America sucks sometimes not all of the time" a couple of times too. Well anyplace sucks sometimes and not all of the time, that's called life; that holds true for pretty much everywhere you go anything you do. Maybe put some more thought behind your posts before you go off and cry to the Administrator. How does that help anything? Just makes people dislike you more. I hate seeing you attacked all the time but I can see people's reasoning for it. :\
In any case, on topic, I was unaware of this law so I can see how some people may not be aware. I do agree that this guy could've gone about this task with a little more tact, and as someone had mentioned earlier, this is all speculation at this point. We don't know all of the facts. Good for him and his patriotism if he did indeed make sure these people were aware and comprehended the message he was trying to get across before he took such a rash approach. And shame on them if they ignored it. :\
