Wrong. They had every right to fly the Mexican flag. First Amendment rights. He had no right to take an American flag (or anything else) that belonged to them. That's theft. If they're breaking the law, that's for the police to deal with, not just any lunatic with a big knife.
Exactly my point.
I'm not supporting the people who broke the law and disrespected the American flag, but what he did (stole their American flag and threw their Mexican flag on the ground) was just as illegal and disrespectful. How is it only OK for him to break laws?
see, that's exactly the problem with this country today, people are so afraid to say what they feel or act on what they think needs to be done because they might offend someone or might be involved in some frivolous lawsute that they don't do or say anything that might potentionally hurt someone's feelings.
well I say too effing bad.. do I support the lunatic with a big knife stealing the american flag from people that were disrespecting it to the point where I believe they they didn't deserve to hold something that I treasure with all my heart and soul? YES, YES I DO.
no, it wouldn't have, however there is absolutely no possible way that owner wasen't aware of what he was doing. Just the idea of doing what he did is saying that he values a country more than the one he's currently living in, and if that's the case well then the border is just a few miles away. my 80 year old grandmother can understand that concept.Uh no. Waiting an hour for the police to arrive would not have caused any damage or hurt anyone. There is a big difference between property and a life.
