the owner went to cal poly =p

Yep. did you go there?

yea i have but they are HARD to get on with!!! ive checked ALL over.....

Have you tried to send in your resume? they are consistently hiring, so make sure you send it in. The HR here is pretty good at contacting applicants.

They hired me and moved me down, all the way from Toronto.

wow! the crappy thing is, all the GIS experience i have is mainly educational....took 2 GIS courses in college, a remote sensing course and i have my 2 years of CADD/Microstation...not sure how that will hold up against other applicants....what exactly do you do there? are you a Tech or and Analyst?

one more thing, if there isnt a position open, where exactly should i email my resume, HR??? im sure i am only qualified to be a GIS Technician MAYBE a GIS Analyst....

Yup...I went there for my undergrad and is in the completion of my M.S there too. Hey I heard that the owner of ESRI is not selling the company, and just plan to retire it when they do..is that correct?

Analyst positions are usually in the form of tech support. I have a bunch of friends in that dept.

I'm a cartographic specialist for ESRI Press (the publishing division of ESRI). I did my undergrad in Urban geography & GIS, and i have a specialist in Cartgraphic design.

it's a private company, so he owns it all. i don't think he's ever going to sell it to anybody else. not sure what is going to happen when he retires. but i'm sure it will still be privately held.
