GI : Intake Manifold for NA

Keep me updated as well. But take the time needed to make your mum better.

Just out of curiousity, what model/engine type is this IM going to be for? Perhaps the sedan? ZM-DE?

steve, the ZM model is my car...

its a lil bit away again... unfotunently i've had to pull my QLD trip back until late june.... damn it why does things cost money?

Thats what I was afraid of. I figured that we'd end up playing second fiddle to the 1.8/2.0. Thats the way its always been for us 1.6ers. We are the un-wanted step child of the mazda family. But nah, its alright though. It'll give me a chance to build my money up again after I spend/waste it all on my car and other various stuff. I can wait you all out. Do you know how much longer we (thr 1.6ers) would have to wait after you get the IM done for the 1.8/2.0?

Someone made one, or at least was working on a setup, from a miata kit that was being revised to fit our fs. Not sure if it ever worked out, but I believe it was microtech controlled. Anybody remember this guy?

Yep. Not based on Miata ITB's though. It's all done, but so is my camera, so no pics. =( I need to get an EMS to use it, though. It was entertaining to try otherwise, though!

well a mate and I have been thinking that along with the brake ducting and front tray downforce (see my sig for the link), that another possible in-demand item would be a intake manifold.

I wont go into too many details yet, but it will be designed for NA (can be used for FI, but primarily NA), will keep the VICS setup and convert into a true dual runner design and will be designed to enhance peak power greatly from 6000rpm-6500rpm. other ranges can be calculated and made as a special request.

hopefully a price wont be too expensive as it will be designed to use stock fuel rail, injectors, intake, throttle body etc...

Early in the new year I will be designing it and starting to play around with it.

I am waiting for a used intake plenum from Cullen since Sunbelt did not come thru for me yet.
Will post pic

IM. well the plans are still on the drawing board so to speak. we're trying to get the big brake kit out, but we keep on getting screwed around by suppliers.

so unfortunately no update at the moment and probably not for a little while :(
